It's almost time to bore to death all of the people around you by refusing to discuss anything else.

It's almost time to bring your snuggie everywhere you go.

It's almost time to fling your laptop at the wall in frustration because you have writer's block.

It's almost time to freak out because dear god, that laptop was really expensive and hey, all of my writing is on there.

In two weeks, it will be time to attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in just thirty days.

Are you writing, too?

(ME.)

I'm not that great of a writer but I'm doing it! I'm currently in the process of thinking of a plot that I can stick to for 30 days.

i think that tends to be the biggest issue. people get bored with their plot, burn out in the first week, or have no idea how to tie up loose ends. planning ahead can prepare you for those things!

YEAH I AM
I think I might be a crazy person though. I mean, I have two jobs, an internship, a thesis, and four classes on top of it. BUT I'M STILL DOING IT.

It's funny, somehow I kind of thought you were just describing winter until I got to the end. :1

Ha, no, in the winter my snuggie gets all frosty on the bottom if I try to take it anywhere!

I'm going to try, but I don't think I can actually write a 50,000 word novel and not... like... fail all of my classes...

You can do it! Do half in the morning, half at night. Or go to class early and write in the minutes before it starts. Pledge to get up early for the month of November!

My novel is about being burned to death and babies and authority figures you thought you could trust but really can't and strange rhymes and weird old men who may have secrets.

AKA this: nanowrimo.org/participants/und…

what are you writing about?

oh man. that sounds like a hit in the making. i added you on nano ages ago! my name there is ilyilaice too. i've been terrible at updating my nano site this year unlike last year, and one thing's for sure, my current novel isn't as epic as yours sounds. can't wait!

Sadly, no. :c

I should probably try to do more art or at least one attempt at a creative thing a day though. Couldn't hurt.

But good luck on your endeavors! How is progress on your other novel?

NaCreAttMo.

National Creative Attempt Month!

My other novels are good. The primary one is in its final round of editing, and hopefully I can send it out to agents early next year! We shall see.

Aghhh. Good luck! This past summer, I edited someone's second print edition of their memoir and then another person's xth draft of their YA novel. It feels exciting just to be a teeny part of the process, I can't imagine how nervous/excited you'll feel sending it out. :)

thanks, bb. maybe you'd be willing to look it over before it goes out?

because clearly you don't have enough going on in your life and all.

I'm sure I could consider it! I'm not exactly employed yet and I have a ton of free time.

:B Being a college grad sucks.
